Can you crack
today's sound code?
Tuning in to today's signal…
How to play
- Compare · 30 points. Listen to two tones. Choose Higher or Lower for the second tone. Each of the three questions earns 10 points; choosing submits your answer immediately.
- Match · 30 points. Listen to the target, preview A–C, then lock in its match. Preview as often as you like. Each of the two questions earns 15 points.
- Echo · 40 points. Try the pads, listen to the code, then repeat four notes in order. Repeated notes count. Undo edits your code before you submit; each correct position earns 10 points.
Replays & scoring
Each target has one first listen and two replays. Failed or interrupted audio costs nothing. Wrong answers never end the game; submitted answers are final. No timer or speed bonus. Maximum score: 100.
90–100: Sound Wizard · 70–89: Echo Expert · 50–69: Sound Explorer · 0–49: Rookie Listener. These are game titles, not hearing assessments.
Daily reset & progress
Everyone gets the same puzzle at 00:00 UTC. A game started before midnight can finish until 00:10 UTC and counts for its starting day. After that, an unfinished attempt expires.
One daily attempt per browser. Any completed game counts toward your streak. Completing today or yesterday keeps it active; missing a whole day breaks it.
Progress, replays and results save in this browser. Refresh to continue. Other devices have separate records; clearing site data removes this history.
Keyboard & sound
Keys: Space to listen · ↑/↓ to compare · A–C to match · 1–4 for pads · Backspace to undo · Enter to submit.
Tab reaches every control. Focus the game to use shortcuts; focused buttons keep their normal Enter and Space behavior. Nothing plays until you click or press a key.
Use the sound check at a comfortable volume. Headphones are optional. If you hear nothing, check your device volume, mute switch and audio output, then retry.
Tip: imagine pitch moving up or down a staircase, and remember longer codes in pairs. Take a breath or replay instead of turning it up.
Back to game ↑Use a comfortable volume. Keyboard shortcuts work while the game is focused.
FAQ
What is Daily Signal?
A daily sound puzzle with three challenges: compare pitches, match a tone, and remember a sound code. Everyone gets the same daily signal, with up to 100 points.
Do I need to know music?
No notes to read, no instruments to play. You only need to listen and tap. Headphones can help in a noisy room, but your phone or laptop speakers work too.
When is there a new signal?
A new daily puzzle arrives at 00:00 UTC for everyone. A challenge started before the reset has a 10-minute grace period to finish. Any completed daily challenge counts toward your streak, whatever your score.
Can I play more than once?
There is one official attempt per day in this browser. Try Echo Rush for growing patterns, combo multipliers, and personal records, or Practice for unlimited new signals and three difficulty levels. These modes never change your daily score or streak.
Will my progress be saved?
Your progress, scores, and sound settings stay in this browser using local storage. Come back on the same browser to continue. Clearing browser data or using another device starts a separate history.
Is this a hearing test?
This is a casual sound game, not a medical test or a measure of musical ability. Play at a comfortable volume and take a break whenever you like.
