Tone Find

What is Tone Find?

Tone Find drops you straight into a battle against your own ears. You hear a sequence of crisp musical tones — four familiar samples that light up on screen, followed by a sneaky fifth target tone. Your mission: pinpoint exactly which displayed note matches that mysterious final sound. It sounds simple, but as levels ramp up, the game twists the rules, hiding information and scrambling expectations to sharpen your pitch recognition like a blade.

What makes it addictive is the perfect blend of instant feedback and growing pressure. One wrong click costs a life, but consecutive wins let you claw them back. It's not just guessing — it's training your brain to truly hear the differences in frequency, turning casual listeners into tone detectives. Whether you're a musician honing skills or just love a brain-teasing audio puzzle, Tone Find delivers satisfying "aha!" moments with every correct strike.

Tone Find Game

Tone Find Game Rules (The Catch / The Trap)

You MUST identify the target tone from the visual note options after hearing the full sequence. The first four sounds are your reference samples — each lights up blue on the corresponding note as it plays. The fifth sound is the hidden target you need to match.

  • Three lives total. Wrong guess? Red flash and one life down.
  • Get consecutive correct answers to recover lost lives.
  • Replay the full sequence anytime with the bottom-left play button.
  • Listen to just the target tone using the question mark button.

Progression is the real trap: Clear 5 questions to level up (more sample notes appear, up to nine). Clear 10 and only a portion of samples play. Clear 20 and notes get rearranged from the major scale — difficulty spikes hard. No endless mode; the game ends when lives hit zero, with your score hitting daily and weekly leaderboards.

How To Play Tone Find?

  1. Enter the Arena: Type your name and hit "Start Game". The screen lights up with note options and your three lives.

  2. Listen Closely: Five tones play in succession. Watch the first four light up blue — these are your known references. The fifth is the target.

Player Action: Click the replay button if needed to hear everything again, or the question mark to isolate the target tone.

  3. Make Your Strike: Click the note you believe matches the target sound.

Game Response: Green flash for correct — streak builds and you may recover a life. Red flash for wrong — lose one life.

What You Learn: Each round reinforces pitch memory as you compare the target against the samples.

  4. Survive and Advance: Keep your lives alive through escalating levels. As difficulty rises (fewer samples shown, rearranged notes), your ear gets sharper with every correct identification.

  5. Claim Your Score: When lives run out, see your final score and check your rank on the global leaderboards. Ready for another round to beat your personal best?

Strategy & Tips

  • Use the isolated target playback wisely in early levels to build confidence, then rely on full-sequence memory as difficulty increases.
  • Focus on relative differences between tones rather than absolute pitch at first — the game trains both.
  • Chain correct answers aggressively to regain lives and push deeper into high-score territory.
  • Treat higher levels like a boss fight: the rearranged scale forces pure ear recognition over pattern matching.

Train daily and watch your musical ear transform from guessing to knowing.
